Sustainability is Important at Filtercorp
At Filtercorp, we take our environmental impact very seriously. Due to the nature of our business, we have an opportunity to reduce waste from disposable paper filters. Our proprietary SuperSorb® product extends oil life and reduces the number of oil changes needed in foodservice operations across the globe. Less oil usage means less packaging waste. But we did not stop there. Our engineers and product development teams worked tirelessly to create a filter that’s biodegradable.
SuperSorb® is BPI Certified
Filtercorp’s SuperSorb® CarbonPad is made primarily of cellulose, a naturally biodegradable product. Our team partnered with the Biodegradability Products Institute (BPI) to complete necessary testing of our filtration products to achieve BPI certification. As a result of this testing, Filtercorp products were found to comply with the specifications established in the American Society for Testing and Materials standard ASTM D6400 and/or D6868 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the International Biodegradable Products Institute, Inc. Licensing & Certification Program for Compostable Products (BPI Certification).

Finding More Ways to Go Green
We continue to work toward reducing our environmental impact. Another improvement we’ve made toward this goal is transitioning to recycled boxes for filter shipping. Filtercorp’s brown Kraft boxes are made of 60-90% recycled content, making it the greenest packaging available.
As consumers and operators continue to strive for eco-friendly products, Filtercorp will remain steadfast in our commitment to provide sustainable options for frying oil filtration.
At Filtercorp, “filtration is what we do, and people are why we do it.” We are proud to do our part in reducing global waste and producing biodegradable products. We value the partnership and loyalty of our customers and look forward to bringing continued innovation in consistent food quality
