Giving Back in 2020

Giving Back in 2020

Over the last few weeks, Filtercorp has teamed up our partners to give back to first responders all over the country. When COVID-19 swept the United States and Canada, restaurants and foodservice operations changed the way they functioned. To show our appreciation and provide support to our foodservice partners, we supplied swag and gift cards to police officers, firemen, nursing home staff and medics.

We began our giving back campaign with Ocedon, a Burger King Franchise Group, and The Redstone Group, giving back to the District 4 Police Department in Denver, Colorado.

The next partnership was with Zink Foodservice and Wendy’s to provide the fire department in Columbus, Ohio gift cards.

Next we went to Nashville, Tennessee where we were able to provide support to multiple charitable groups with help from Captain D’s and The Hansen Group.

We were able to support the medics in Shaler Hampton, Pennsylvania, with help from Wendy’s and Zink Foodservice.

We teamed up with The Hansen Group and RaceTrac to support the first responders in Atlanta during the 46th annual National EMS Week.

When it comes to long-term care, we were able to support Forest Heights by Revera in Ontario, Canada with help from the Charcoal Restaurant Group. We also joined forces with Recipe Unlimited Corporation to provide support to the staff at the Markhaven Home for Seniors.

Being able to support our communities while we sort through challenging times and work toward getting back to a somewhat normal way of life is important to us and our partners. We are honored to be a part of such a great team and to be able to give our foodservice operators a bit of a break in the meantime.
